Out of season you are unable to stay overnight but can visit to do maintenance by prior arrangement with the site managers. You cannot use the holiday home as your main residence.

Site fees can be paid in full at the start of the season or over 12 months (additional £125 standing order charge).

Q. How long is the lease for the plot? –

A. Second hand static vans are given the remainder of the license..

This may be extended at the end of the term if agreed by the Park owner providing that the holiday home is in good order. An extra cost would be payable and added to the ground rent on an annual basis.

Q. What is the electric amp of a static van?

A. Statics have a 16 amp system. This means that the system can be overloaded and “trip” the meter if too many electric appliance are used at the same time. Eg: Kettle, toaster and electric fire on at the same time.

All meters have a “trip” switch outside which can be switched back on if this happens.

Q. Can I erect a shed or fence?

A.  Metal/plastic sheds are permitted and must be erected on a base of paving slabs, not concrete. They must be securely fixed to the base.

Fencing is not allowed, however a decking area is and must not exceed 3 meters from the front of your van.

Q. Do I need to purchase a TV licence?

A. You don’t need a separate TV licence for your holiday home provided you are not watching or recording live TV both your permanent home and holiday home at the same time.
